So I'm here at Digital Transformation World 2024 and I'm here together with Jason Keane, who's the Head of Portfolio of our business and Operations support systems offerings. With the success from Mobile Congress recently happened, what are your expectations for DTW this year? Ohh, at Mobile World Congress, one of the key things we had, well it covers the broad RAN. We focus from an SPS portfolio on something called our ESAU, which is our service orchestration. We introduced as a hero launch mobile or Congress because we see demand from our customers towards programmatic networks, orchestration, automation. So building on the success of that, this is the form where it's dedicated to SBS is very, very specific versus MBC which is much more general. So I want to build on what we don't normally see and continue with the automation orchestration. And introduce Jenny I into the actual service surrounding time. So my, my hope that this actual forum is that we get to go through those topics that we get to talk with our customers on the opportunities they have and have a much more granular conversation that we could have had at Mobile World Congress. OK, so there's a lot of talk about the automation and and transformation. So why do customers need, do they really need to transform? Yeah, our customers are probably tired of hearing they need to transform forever. But I think what we're seeing now is in order to compete, you have to go much faster. You have to, you know, things like 5G, you have to bring on the partner ecosystem. Therefore you have to expose or create the opportunity to automatically meaningful way that means. What it means ultimately here is that we have exposure. We have a ?? exposure of the underlying services that you can programmatically turn them on and off, make them all automatic. I think today if customers don't start the transformation where I can turn on and off my assets automatically, they're going to struggle to compete. So what I see at the moment is people say, OK, we have invested heavily in all this infrastructure, all this piece of equipment. Help me monetize, help me turn it on and off, help me automate so I can maximize my revenue out. For that they need to clean up inventory system. You have to know what you have to turn on and off. I need something I can orchestrate and navigate the complexity of all of the technology out there. So I think they need to do it in order to stay kind of competitive and compete and they need to do it for a low cost effective way, which is driving to demands for tools like as I mentioned, ESAU, which is a service management service orchestration, service management orchestration engine. So Ericsson looking in our offering, can we help? To do this all this work, yeah, if elaborate more and he said there's a few parts to be so again Eric service, orchestration, insurance. How we help them is basically we have built an engine that combines the calm some an SO and into one engine. And by basically doing so it means that within one kind of engine they can do everything from order offering to instantiation to assurance. Coupled with that, we also brought in our inventory where we can actually catalogue and bring in all of their assets and actually access them in a meaningful way. So how we help is. Is by bringing, furthermore, because we're at TM Forum, we use TM Forum standards to expose and interact with our solutions. So we maintain the standard. So it gives our customers the opportunity to deploy solution that can be standards that enables them automate, enables them to go faster, Excellent, super. So that sounds really interesting. So another thing that is interesting is that the Ericsson OSS BSS Summit is coming up in October. What is happening then? Yeah, it does Some of this change its format since last year whereby we actually pivot the actual former down to what what our customers want to talk about and we give our customers kind of center stage versus Erickson itself. But what we do is we do see the themes that we want to see coming up. Orchestration automation continues, but we see much more sophisticated levels. We're seeing obviously with all the hype on Jen, AI and artificial intelligence coming into it, we're talking about intent and intent based automation and assurance and so forth. So I think we're going to see is we will continue on the orchestration team, will continue on the exposure team, but this time it's much heavier influence. But AI and Jenny I tooling can bring to us to enrich our offerings because if you go back to what I said at the start of this, it was about how can we help our customers transform and do they need to transform to technologies here enforcing the transformation because if they don't move, the competition will move. So I think what we're going to see some of it is a much more focused on artificial intelligence and intelligent basically operations and management and everything else. That's kind of the theme we're sitting at the moment to get you to councils yet that set it up, but that's not at the moment excellent. That sounds really interesting.
