??? Revolutionizing Wind Power: Bigger Isn’t the Only Answer The wind energy industry is scaling up, but some innovators are rethinking design instead of just size. While super-sized turbines continue to grow, companies like Wind Catching Systems are introducing radical multi-turbine structures to maximize efficiency in a smaller footprint. Their Windcatcher system, a 984-foot floating wind farm with up to 126 turbines, aims to generate more power per area while simplifying maintenance. With support from General Motors and Norway’s Climate Ministry, this concept could push offshore wind into deeper waters where traditional turbines struggle.
