Coming soon to Facilitate are both text and image 'labels' which can be applied to any part of a 3D model in a Microsimulation. This feature will greatly improve the learning impact that can be created with a Facilitate Micro-sim. Simply upload your model, add descriptive labels, add some interactions and now you have a mini learning experience ready to go. Did you know that with #matlab by MathWorks you can make you very own Finite Elements Software? Here are the results of my very own Non-Linear #FEM code using quadrangular membrane elements to study the stretching process of a membrane having a central hole and behaving as a neo-Hookean material. It is capable of accounting for both material and geometric non-linearities, as well as giving as output, when requested, a short animation of the deformation process. Newton-Raphson iterations have been employed: computationally expensive, but with second-order convergence.
