meleap, the company behind the global AR sports app "HADO," has raised Series C funding from QC Investment, Nissay Capital and Niigata Venture Capital. In addition, meleap raised debt financing from the Japan Finance Corporation. The company's total funding amount is now 3.1 billion yen. Since its founding in 2014, meleap has been developing the AR sport "HADO" with the vision of "bringing dreams and hope to the world through techno sports." In the Location Base Entertainment business, meleap has developed 450 directly managed and permanent franchise facilities in 39 countries around the world, and has grown to a cumulative total of 6 million players. In addition, the viewer participation "Live Entertainment business", started in 2020, welcomes talents as players, and the number of global viewers is rapidly expanding to over 5 million people. The funds raised this time will be invested in the following areas to accelerate growth. ① Development of new AR competitions/functions ② League expansion of Live Entertainment business ③ Opening of flagship shop “HADO Arena Shanghai store” ④ Hiring excellent human resources
