Maximum Governance - Minimum Government The quest for good governance aimed at ease of living for citizens in tune with 21st century aspirations, in the Amrit Kaal Period it is incumbent upon Government to redouble efforts to ensure life becomes easier for citizens and that citizens get in a smooth and hassle free manner whatever they are entitled to. Dr M.Ramachandran IAS (retd) in his acclaimed book “Bringing Governments and People Closer” has said that it is important to lay down accountability at all levels of governance. Arbitrariness in decision making must be checked by greater transparency and access to information. Staff must be trained in dealing with public and mobile phone protocol is required. Technology has to be easy and meaningful and grievance redressal more effective. Driving through the decade of innovation in India- Something that is celebrated the most is the policies that the government is introducing to nurture the ecosystem. A question arises- Who is tracing the effectiveness of these policies? A lot of policies remain ineffective on the ground because the policymakers have never gone through an operator journey. I feel it is also essential for policymakers to go through an operator journey rather than consulting with the firms only. #policy #innovation

A collective letter signed by various stakeholders has been sent to the Ministry Of Corporate Affairs, urging for a five-month extension to offer feedback on the Draft Digital Competition Bill, 2024 (#DCB). This letter, endorsed by 21 organizations, & 26 individuals highlights the inadequacy of the current deadline (May 15th) for submitting comments. A joint open stakeholder letter has been submitted to Ministry Of Corporate Affairs requesting a Five Month Extension to provide inputs on the Draft Digital Competition Bill, 2024 (#DCB). This open letter has been endorsed by 21 organisations (including think tanks, civil society organizations and associations representing the interests of users and SMEs as well as private organisations etc. ) and 26 individuals (belonging to academia, consultancy, as well as the policy, research, legal and technical communities).
