FACT 1: 43 per cent of cyber attacks in Australia last year were aimed at small businesses ?? FACT 2: The average cost of cyber crimes against small businesses was $46,000 ?? Small businesses are already doing it tough, let alone having to worry about sneaky email and phone scams and the potential for private customer information to fall into the wrong hands. This is what Cyber Wardens seeks to address. It’s a free, online, self-paced program to arm anyone in any small business with the skills and tools to combat cyber threats. The initiative is backed by the Australian Government and supported by Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA), Telstra, Commonwealth Bank and the Australian Cyber Security Centre.
