? How has your week been? I've just come off the latest CIPD group call. I always look forward to them and I think they're a really positive way to end the week. ?? Over the last couple of months 5CO02 has been a hot topic, particularly Task 2. ??Members have spent lots of time doubting themselves, reading and re-reading the brief and all the time were losing confidence in what they had done / planned to do. ?? There aren't set intakes for the group and so we usually have someone on the call that's submitted the assignment someone else is stuck on, and either passed or had feedback on referrals. ?? They're able to share their experience to help others along. ? ?If you're struggling with distance learning and would benefit from a place to sense check your approach, stop yourself from endless hours of misdirected research and also build relationships with other learners, come and join in! ?? Each call you'll have an opportunity to ask questions and get the support you need to complete an AC or few ACs during that week. Steady progress is great, and breaking assignment down to focus on individual questions make it far less daunting. ?? Taking Charge: Manufacturing Workforce Strategies! ?? The U.S. manufacturing industry could require up to 3.8 million jobs to be filled within the next decade! Here's what you need to know: Manufacturing is growing and emerging strong post-pandemic, with increased demand for skilled workers like statisticians, data scientists, engineers, and more. ? If workforce challenges aren't addressed, over 1.9 million of these jobs could go unfilled by 2033. ?65% of manufacturers say their primary business challenge is attracting and retaining talent. ?90% are forming partnerships to tackle this issue, averaging at least four partnerships each. Southwest Montana Manufacturing Partnership - SMMP ?47% believe apprenticeships, work-study programs, and internships are the most effective ways to spark interest in the industry. ?Another 47% say flexible work arrangements like flex shifts and shift swapping are their top retention tools.
