Wheat, with its A, B, and D genomes, presents a unique puzzle that demands creativity and precision in gRNA design. 1. Understanding the Hexaploid Complexity: Hexaploid wheat carries three sets of chromosomes (A, B, and D), each with its own unique genetic information. This complexity means that any genetic modification must be targeted specifically to the desired genome without affecting others, requiring a tailored approach to gRNA design. 2. Precision Engineering: Designing genome-specific gRNAs involves a meticulous process of identifying target sequences within the desired genome while avoiding off-target sites in the other genomes. This precision engineering is crucial to ensure the accuracy. 3.
