Her keynote address was one of the highlights of our event. As she said, “There are many capable women in our industry who don’t have a chance to get ahead, others are subjected to micro-aggression or harassment. They cannot make changes or defend themselves. This connection with what other women are going through led to a commitment to exercise a more active role with regard to inclusion and equality, issues that became part of my guiding light for management and leadership.? — My message is that now more than ever is the time to belong to the mining industry. Our presence is crucial because we’re transforming this industry and bringing it closer to society. We can strengthen the industry in order to attract a new generation of young talent, both women and men, offering them a place where they can develop and feel proud to belong. Because the future of the mining industry doesn’t just depend on resources, it mostly depends on people. What is the definition of an exemplary workplace? Well, of course, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Today I had the privilege to attend Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance’s Strategic Workforce Advisory Panel (SWAP) Meeting!
