Dear #FridayNightListeners, This was once again a trigger for many of the real but also countless self-proclaimed #socialmedia experts & consultants: The changes of the #LinkedIn #algorithm. As on similar occasions, innumerable posts about the new rules of the game and yet very similar-looking advices. In all honesty, it was sometimes hard to shake off the assumption that everyone was copying from everyone else - quest for attention. Of course, I'm sure I'm doing some folks an injustice (but I have an idea about the real experts within my network), but didn't you feel the same way? Those little thieves! The algorithm stuff is just one example, but I find it often very conspicuous, especially within a certain bubble. So many #copycats, but behaving as the finder of the holy grail... Don't get me wrong: It's perfectly ok to get suggestions and inspiration from others, and also some copying is... well, lets say, acceptable as sometimes inevitable. But if what is written there has already been said a thousand times in the very same way, without any own opinion, own emphases or counterpoints, but just "copy/paste", then it is poor. Ultimately, the basic rules have remained unchanged for years. Anyone who proceeds according to the motto "If everyone thinks of himself/herself, everyone is thought of" will fail miserably. For those, who earn their money with it and reach is essential, it is important to understand as many details of an algorithm as possible. For some of them, daily selfies, loudly screaming graphic galleries and personal tear-jerking stories have to be part of the game, often, too often. For the majority, however, it is more important to avoid the biggest mistakes, just as avoiding default is important for a credit portfolio. As part of our #socialselling program, we have been providing curated content, created by our specialists, within a library that social sellers can easily share, in addition to their very own posts. This is also "re-using" content, but a different approach - because obvious. For years we have always concentrated - independently of algo trends - on regularly offering the interested professional audience content that focuses on the capital markets - public and private markets - with their various asset classes; hardheaded and in a matter-of-fact manner. Topics and content pieces on certain topics such as #sustainability, #thematicinvesting, #disruption or #monetarypolicy, that we are convinced will interest our sales reps' networks. And in this respect, let me add that our people focus to reach the right ones, not as many as possible. "You Little Thief" is a song by Northern Irish artist Feargal Sharkey, ex lead singer of "The Undertones", released 1985 as the 2nd single from his debut album. "A Good Heart" is considered his signature song, but I like this follow-up song more - i.a. because of the horns. Have an original weekend.
Great! ??
I completely agree from a legal standpoint Oliver S. Bauer and when looking at my values However Pablo Picasso is said to once have uttered: Good artists copy, Great artists steal ??
Yeah.. The only solution is: Rise above it all ?? even above the algo. Keep on dancing ?? ???? All Zeitgeist only - let‘s see whats up in 2034 or 2044 especially in regards to music.
