Another Partnership Initiative has recently taken up its work: The Partnership for Sustainable Textiles and its members BP? Workwear, CARE Deutschland e.V., DELTEX Handels-GmbH, Deuter Sport GmbH, ORTOVOX and Sympatex have kick-started a joint pilot project to improve access to #grievancemechanisms in China and Vietnam, including the deeper supply chain.? ? The Partnership Initiative “Digital Complaint Management and Capacity Building“ will be implemented with selected textile and garment suppliers in Eastern China and Vietnam. The primary goals of the project are to enhance the understanding of workers and managers regarding international and national labor standards and to identify and mitigate risks through effective grievance mechanisms.? ? For the China component, Quizrr and Ulula are onboard as experts on worker voice technology. With their support, digital trainings and a digital feedback mechanism will be set up at supplier factories in China. ? For the Vietnam component, The Center for Development and Integration as an expert on labor rights, and atlat as the provider for the independent digital grievance mechanism will be the implementing partners to enable workers to proactively claim their rights through self-monitoring their working conditions and having access to effective grievance mechanisms.?? ? The BI is part of the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ)).?In China the project consortium of Bierbaum-Proenen, Deltex, Sympatex and GIZ will implement the project through the service providers Ulula and Quizrr. In Vietnam the project consortium of deuter, ORTOVOX, CARE Deutschland and GIZ will implement the project through the service providers atlat and local NGO CDI.?
