To save an existing document with a different name, don't do the following: 1. Retype the document and give it a different name. ? 2. Copy and paste the original document and give it a different name.? 3. Use window explorer to copy the document to a different location and then rename it. ? But you should use the "Save as".... Command. ? This command allows you to create a copy of the original document and save it with a new name without altering the original file. By using save as, you can easily create multiple versions of the same document while keeping the original.

File Handling. Opening and Closing Files. About: Learn how to open and close files safely. Use case: To manage files for reading and writing. file = open('example.txt', 'r') # Open file in read mode content = file.read() # Read the content of the file file.close() # Always close the file after using it Explanation: Always ensure you close the file after you're done to free up system resources.

If you have a file with an extension related to MS Word in capitals (e.g. DOCX, DOC or RTF), then this file is liable to a bug. After saving the file in a specific way it will be deleted. Steps to reproduce: * Create a file with extension DOCX * Open file * Create some content, but don't save * Close the file * Save the file * File is deleted This won't happen if you save the file first. UPDATE: The file looks te be deleted to the trash. So its not permanently lost.
