Our “Chennai B2b Startup Pitches and Mixer” event last evening at IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP) saw a great turnout of folks from the startup-VC ecosystem. We started in the afternoon with 5 pitches by startups and ended the evening with an engaging panel discussion and networking mixer. It was great to hear how Vilva Natarajan (CEO and founder, ManageArtworks) went after the artwork management space by chance and how he had to always keep prioritising which geographies on a global scale would benefit the most with his product. It was also interesting to hear from Gaurav Kulkarni (Founder and CEO at AuditCue) how a stick/fear based push can sometimes lead to product adoption better than a carrot based approach can, especially in the world of audit and compliance. We had fun partnering up with Anirudh Jayagopal, Bhargavi V. and their team from Java Capital to co-host this event along with us. Also, a shoutout to Praveena Rajakrishnan and her team at TiE Chennai, who helped us run the event on the ground smoothly.
