Job Description Position Summary: “A receptionist is the image of us the first line of communication in our clinic”. Essential Job Functions: Customer Service Duties -Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice according to our protocol and training -Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed. -Collect data from the patient and Assist patients in filling out information forms. -Preparing patients’ charts and daily schedules for the dental staff. -Updating patient records and documenting -recent treatments and procedures. -Scheduling follow-up appointments and -providing telephonic reminders. -Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed. -Performing general office duties, such as -answering telephones, photocopying, filing Administrative duties? -Receiving and Calls referring doctors, patients -Follow stock level -communicate with the lab and follow their work Accounting Duties -Record accounting daily activities -Updates billing system and Invoices Job Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Business or any related file Proven experience working in a dental Clinic (preferably) Exceptional Communication Skills Presentation and selling skills Proficient with using computer systems and typing Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word English Speaking Working knowledge of general administrative practices. "It is possible to do great things from a small place" - Tunde Onakoya If the thought has ever crossed your mind that you need to have "Manager" attached to your role title before you can do great things, be aware that it is your small daily disciplines that will add up and bring you into that big position you've been dreaming of. These are some thoughts on how to start doing great things from "a small place": ??Grow your technical competence until it is no longer in doubt. ??Become genuinely interested in the success of the organization, executive, or business you work with. ??Build the discipline to always capture the assumptions that underpin the actions you take. Always think about the WHY when completing tasks. Why do you do what you do? ??Understand the overall goal and objective of your organization. What is the business trying to achieve and how does your role contribute to achieving that? ??Move from tactical to strategic thinking. One way to do this is by building your business acumen. You can't think strategically about something you don't understand. ??Start off on tasks with a goal of creating and/or adding value. Again, this means you must understand what value looks like for your organization. ??Live and breathe your company or organization's strategy. Many times, you will need to step away from the details and see the big picture. While this post is dedicated to administrative professionals, it holds value for career starters and professionals who consider their current role or position as "a small place".
