Today we've launched a nationwide campaign to recruit the staff nurseries, childminders and early years providers need to offer more childcare places for working parents. Here's everything you need to know ?? https://lnkd.in/ghfik3eR #DoSomethingBig
I am sorry you need to do More than a campaign Currently it’s underpaid and over worked and unappreciated Shame the torons don’t fund the REAL things that matter in life like children, education and social welfare and justice. #shameonthetorons
Wow. So all those thinking it could be worth it for 1k golden hello, will join, followed by lots of experienced and already qualified who will jump ship, purely because they are not appreciated and the pay is terrible. But hey, at least we get a bunch of new people who aren't really interested in EYs but need a grand ??♂???♂?

1 年Where to start? The EYFS is easily the strongest part of the English National Curriculum, it is actually quite good, and if properly supported it could make a real difference to the young children who are able to access it. But, this is the real issue here. Childcare can be expensive, especially in large urban areas where costs tend to be higher. Therefore, it can be cheaper for one parent (usually the Mum), to stay at home to look after the child(ren). Yes, we're short of EY staff. Yes, we need more available EY places. Yes, we need more children to attend EY settings. Fund it properly. Open state supported settings that will not make money, but will save the government money in the long term as we help to give children the start they need in education. Provide funds to all parents that can be put towards childcare to help protect the private sector. Come on #torons, it's really quite simple.
