We need more women leaders! This isn't just my opinion; it's a fact supported by extensive research: According to a 2023 study by the American Psychological Association, women leaders significantly increase productivity, enhance collaboration, and improve organizational fairness. Female leaders often demonstrate a more transformational leadership style, which is increasingly valued in modern organizations. Teams with women in leadership roles show improved collaboration and innovation. As Dr. Jean Lau Chin stated in her 2016 TEDx talk, "Getting a seat at the table is not enough. It's time for women and diverse leaders to be at the head of the table in leadership roles if we are going to have a future moving forward." There are a number of reasons why this issue persists. Although things have improved, there is still a long way to go. Women often feel invisible at work – and sometimes even at home. That may lead to a lack of confidence which causes them to recede even further into the background. The good news is that this does not have to define you. You can improve your situation, increase your opportunities and build your confidence in the process. You have more power in this process than you may think. Are you ready to start making a change?
