Such an exciting moment for me and my team to receive you here today for the 10th year commemoration of Global Initiative for Economic Empowerment. My name is Glory O'Brien and. I'm reminded to the my mind is taken back to the very front time as a youth court member in 2013 when I started this initiative as a Corpus Pet Project. At the time had come across 200 women who were widows, languishing in hunger and poverty. They had no food, their children had no support for school and they had no jobs as well. They were just sitting around around, sitting around on the floor by the King's palace. This was a situation that began the thought of new initiative for economic empowerment. By the time I wanted to do something to support them to girl, maybe something that would give them a job, it could be that it's something, something that they could use to send their children to school. But I noticed something else that was interesting in this community. I saw that they had cassava farms. In lots of plots of land scattered around that page. So I thought to myself, if these people have cassava, Cassava is a staple food, how can they get jobs by processing back ASAP? And that was the idea that changed everything. I began to work hard. My goal was to create a personal processing factory that is going to employ these women and give them something to do and also promote food security in the community. Yeah, I really want to give a very big kudos to Blow initiative, and most especially for the work that they do as regards climate change, as regards economic empowerment and as regards sustainable development. Sustainable development is about one's ability to be able to create change, lasting change that would actually affect. Now and also affect the future positively. So and I think that's what blew initiative stands for and this is me saying very big kudos to them. And we look forward to more impactful projects from GLOW Initiative. Thanks anniversary celebration. And my word for glowing initiative first of all is congratulations. It's not an easy feat. This shows a sign of consistency and I am glad that I looked at your projects and programs about 13 of them and. I identify with all of them and I'll be looking forward to collaborations with you and to reach out to some some of the persons in my constituency who may need the programs that you already offering. So once again I say congratulations to Blow Initiative and I wish you more powerful, productive years and decades in the future. My name is Wilfred, OK and I oversee projects for. Initiative for economic empowerment. Well, it's been an amazing 10 years journey. It's been a decade of sustainable innovation. We've been powering progress, we've been greening economies and we've been lighting lives. We're very proud of what we've done so far, you know, across communities, not just in Nigeria but in Africa. And we hope to do more. We look forward to a better future. We look forward to use our interventions to put smiles on the faces of people in rural communities, deprived people, disadvantaged people, you know, and we're doing that and we're not detailed. We hope that the future holds a lot. For us, we continue to do our best. Very big thank you to our partners, especially Assets Bank, you know and all of all of our partners who've supported us all through this years with continued support. We continue to do more and we're sure that the future is bright for everyone.
