While Amina will show you beautiful photos of people smiling and coworking together at a Radious venue, I edit video all day, so not practical to move the machine. Why I DO attend Radious Rad CoWorking days is for the special events, which draw a really interesting crowd. Last week, we convened at Nick Bloom's home for co-working and a round table with Amina and Samuel Dahan for the Deel RadWorkday-sponsored fireside chat on digital nomads (Rowena, you were there in spirit). Lot of fun. One often-mentioned benefit of working from home, is we are invited into the homes of our colleagues, and they into ours. And so when the chance came, to visit what is arguably THE Nerve Center for remote and distributed work (don't believe me, search Nick Boom, and look at 'video' return), I jumped on my OneWheel and rolled over. Thanks for inviting us into your home Nick Thanks for the information on the current situation and future Samuel Thanks for putting together another RadWorkday event Amina https://lnkd.in/gn5764rZ Look familiar? #RadWorkday #remote #hybrid #distributed #flexible #flexiblespace #wfh #stanford #spaceondemand Tyler Sophie Darren #Radious Brian #Deel #coworking #flexspace #fow #workplace
By the way this is the messy view from the other angle :-) (not such a pretty sight) - classic Professors office fully of old papers, empty coffee cups and broken pens
"One often-mentioned benefit of working from home, is we are invited into the homes of our colleagues, and they into ours." THIS. When "in-person" really means being able to meet the person, the whole person, not the office persona. So much richness is communicated by being with a person in their home. It is intimate, it is real, it is the opposite of Instagram.
This was one of the best Rad Workdays thus far... with Nick Bloom inviting us into his home, a fascinating fireside about digital nomad trends, and awesome people like you joining, Jeff Frick. Can't wait for the next one!
Jeff Frick on set.
Hey - who is that handsome guy in my office? What has been going on while I've been out teaching on campus :-) Great seeing you Jeff last week and glad you got the photo (and hopefully you didn't go through all the messy drawers you can't see down below the bottom of the photo :-)
Make sure you change the adjustments on his desk chair!
Nick Bloom, you look different somehow?! Jeff Frick, I love the post as we share each other’s experiences and locations.
There is spirit, thanks Jeff Frick, so nice to hear! Steve King, a ?? of Nomads Research was there too - superb group and well done Amina Moreau and Nick Bloom for organising ??
