How will it avoid misalignment with existing laws? Short answer: It's not yet clear. So we have joined forces with 32 European digital associations from our membership to shed some light. Our message is simple: let's give emerging AI innovators in Europe a fighting chance. Our (four) solutions are needed: 1?? Don't treat all GPAI software as high-risk 2?? Avoid disruptions with well-established sectoral frameworks 3?? Use the EU’s copyright protection framework to address AI-related issues 4?? Focus on information sharing, cooperation, and compliance support across the value chain to regulate GPAI & foundation models Only 8% of EU companies use AI today, very far from the 2030 target of 75%. But if our solutions are swiftly implemented, Europe can turn this around and become #aDigitalPowerhouse.
