Last week at Din Tai Fung, we celebrated a major achievement- our first-ever, company-wide Leaders Conference. Under the theme 'Purpose-Driven, Mission Focused,' we spent three days in the beautiful setting of Palm Springs, deepening our connections, reflecting on our accomplishments, and setting our sights on future growth. The event brought together our corporate and restaurant leaders, along with cherished vendors, creating a powerful forum for aligning our vision for 2024 and beyond. My father created a dream. He didn't know what the entire phone was going to become, but he started something really special in 1972. In year 2000, we opened our first US store in Arcadia, CA and a community receivers. These open arms, our goal, were very simple. We wanted to share the food we grew up with and go about doing business right. We stay true to our families values. One of my favorite parts about our culture is openness. Modesty means being humble to ideas coming from anyone. People may think the driver roll is pretty solo, but it takes a village. I love my team's energy, They're amazing and it makes me want to go to work every single day. Ty and Din Tai Fung means harmony. Having integrity in the workplace is so important in creating a peaceful environment where we can fully trust one another. It means a lot to me to be able to honor my root. When I first started, I didn't even know how to cook. With the given opportunity I have here, I was able to learn and grow and not just the cooking skills as well as interpersonal skills. It's a privilege to make every guest feel their best with experience be created from the smile they see. The smallest detail, like how we set our tables, can mean so much. Excellence lies in our precision. Our mission is to honor tradition and embrace progress, said This standard and quality and consistency. Our mission is what we do every day and it starts with taking care of our team, our guests and our communities. The passion for what we do has always existed. Our purpose is bringing people together to inspire appreciation of culture. It's a truth we always knew.
