If this ChatGPT leak is true... It's pretty incredible. Plugins? Gone. So many apps built on top of the GPTs are now... Gone, too. Why should I bother with them... When I can do (almost) all of it inside ChatGPT? And frankly: If you think "Oh! I'll create bots and make money from bots!" Nah bro, if I can make my own bots, custom to what I need, just as fast and easy as you... Why do I need your bot? Answer: I don't. "People are lazy, they'll pay for solutions!" Sure but soon there will be 1,000+ bots for the same task... How does yours stand out? Answer: It won't. So how do you compete? Easy: You don't compete with "AI" or a cute lil' "bot". You compete on network node distribution and signal. Basically this: You're a node in a network. The signal strength of your node and impact of your node depends on your ability to formulate a perspective, sense of taste, judgment, discernment. These make up your node signal. Your impact as a node = your ability to send a strong and attractive signal. Next, distribution. This is audience across channels. You could have a big or small audience, but their attention is relative to your signal strength. At the same time, you need distribution for that signal strength to amplify and spread. So, it's a cycle between Signal and Distribution. (If you want the core principle behind this, study communication theory and network theory). Soon I'll share what I'm up to with Daring Robot (it ties into this) but more on that later. I don't care about your bots or copilots. But I do care about your signal, if I can hear it (distribution). As I've said many times the past year: - General solutions are out. Don't bother competing with larger players. Don't bother with a copilot in many cases. Everyone's building a copilot and they're better than yours (plus, network, distribution, and audience). - Specialized and hyper-niche solutions may be the best path forward. But it'll be a red ocean quickly as people pile into hyper-niches. Leak details that MAY or MAY NOT be true: "OpenAI will announce the Gizmo tool, which specializes in creating, managing, and selecting custom chatbots. Gizmo is expected to bring the following features: - Sandbox - Provides an environment to import, test and modify existing chatbots - Custom actions - Define additional functions for your chatbot using OpenAPI specifications - Knowledge files - Add additional files that your chatbot can reference - Tools - Provides basic tools for web browsing, image creation, etc. - Analytics - View and analyze chatbot usage data - Drafts - Save and share drafts for chatbots you create - Publish - Publish your finished chatbot - Share - Set up and manage chatbot sharing - Marketplace - browse and share chatbots created by other users Magic Creator or Magic Maker help you create chatbots: - Define your chatbot with an interactive interface - Recognize user intentcreate chatbots - Test the created chatbot live and a lot more
