New study released today with Wood identifies roadmaps to significantly reduce GHG emissions in refining by using low-carbon electricity instead of fossil fuels to power some equipment. With sufficient availability of low-carbon power, it will be possible to reduce over 65% of a refinery’s #CO2 by 2040. The study sets out practical advice on the types of technologies, the economics and the potential emissions reductions, which will be invaluable for the industry.
