We hosted #AccelerateHer’s welcome day where we invited our exceptional shortlisted women along with our exclusive partner for the programme – Dubai Islamic Bank, where the stage was set for a day of inspiration and empowerment. The event began with opening remarks by Rafia Mohammed Al Abbar, SVP – Head of Human Resources at Dubai Islamic Bank. She spoke about the pivotal role of women in financial services, highlighting their untapped potential and the transformative impact they can have. Following Rafia’s opening remarks, we had Mohammad Alblooshi, Chief Executive Officer at DIFC Innovation Hub deliver a welcome address where he set the tone for what would be an extraordinary journey ahead with the programme, he also encouraged the shortlisted women to flourish in the field of #innovation. We then took a moment to reflect on our achievements thus far - The programme’s impact has been profound and today, we stand with over 100+ alumni, 200+ mentors and having delivered 120+ workshops! This was followed by the introduction of our cohort, which was the highlight of the day, where each participant took the stage to introduce themselves with stories of determination, dreams and aspirations. #AccelerateHer powered by Dubai Islamic Bank has officially welcomed these extraordinary women into its family, and we cannot wait to see the heights they will reach and the positive impact they will create!
