Let's talk to Mark Ingram, who's senior market strategist at to Active Trades. Mark, good to have you with us and give us a sense of how significant this is now. The UK never officially left. It was all kind of an administrative nightmare. So we're now officially back in. What difference could it make? Ohh, this is a huge win not only for the scientific community in UK and Europe, but also for the UK economy. As your reporter mentioned, the UK punches well above its weight in terms of research and development or up up there right with Germany, if not ahead of them, up until Brexit within the Horizon program we had leadership roles. All of that changed however, after Brexit was initially anticipated that we were in the Remain associated. With the Horizon project here in the UK however, it became a political football quite simply and disagreements over the Northern Ireland protocol left everything up in the air and scientists in the UK were left in a very difficult position because they didn't know whether to apply for funding on European projects. Equally you had you based science U scientists in the UK who would really tempted to go back home, take their research back home with them. So it was all a bit of a mess. But, you know, the winds of agreement in February this year helped to turn that around. They've been thrashing the details out for the last few months. So now we're we're off to the races again. And it's good to see a an an ambiguously good piece of news for the UK economy. Yeah, absolutely. And it's not just about the money, is it, Mike? We know that if we're gonna make progress collectively in some of the biggest scientific issues that needs to be done across borders. This isn't about doing it in secret, in a little silo, in a small. Research lab. It is about sharing information, data and progress, and that's what this scheme will allow. Yeah, exactly. It's about pool funding, polled knowledge, pulled data, pull data and really trying to you know cross fertilize as much as as much as possible. As I say the UK has had a leadership role in this area for many, many years, but you know they need the help of of other people, in this case European partners in order to progress. And some of the projects are the projects that Horizon is really focusing on. There are areas such as you know, climate change, bio sustainability and cancer researchers. You're always important areas. They need funding and they need everybody's brain on the job. Yes, let's see what it may be able to deliver. Really good to get your thoughts. Mike.
