Among the many mangrove forests in the Philippines, the Del Carmen Mangrove Reserve in Siargao stands out as the?largest contiguous reserve?spanning over 4,871 hectares. This reserve features?27?of the?80?known mangrove species worldwide, with the dominant presence of the Rhizophora (Rhizophora apiculata) mangrove species.
