4 things people always tell you happens when you start freelancing… ???You can work from beach, park, cafe, ‘insert any location in the world’ whenever you want from day one ?? You will make £££ each month from the go, especially if you take my course telling you how ? Goodbye 9to5, yes you really can make loads of money only working 5hrs a day ?? Freelancing is super easy and you’ll easily win clients Honestly, this list could be longer, and as a seasoned freelancer, I for one know that although all of this is possible, it’s not all that common, it’s actually very rare. So, let’s be realistic… What thing or things do you wish someone told you would happen when you started freelancing ???????? #freelance #freelancelife
I would say points 2 and 4 generally aren't true, but 1 and 3 are. From my experience, anyway — I can only speak for me. Like anything in life, it's about making yourself indispensable. If you keep learning new skills, developing as a person, and honing your craft, it's possible to earn in 2-3 hours what you used to earn in a day. Luck plays a part, but you make your own luck by being diligent and constantly investing in yourself. That means attending webinars, reading books, watching YouTube videos, exercising regularly, making sure your mental health is in check — do all of this stuff, and you'll surprise yourself with what you can achieve.
Don't expect work to come flowing in all at once ????

1 年?? Major breaks between clients - there are months/years when you've got work coming out of your ears, there are months/years where there's barely anything going, no matter who you speak to and how much you cut your regular rate to try and get at least something. ?? Not every client is fine with working 'from any location in the world', people might (and do) want to get you in and see you sometimes at least, which limits how far and for how long you can go away. ?? It gets tricky if you want to work 'from any location in the world' months at a time, if you want to keep it kosher - you can get into a grey area really quick. Insurance, tax residency etc. Technically you should be registering and paying taxes wherever you're at any given moment, but no Freelancer/Digital Nomad I know really does that, people just try not to upset the apple cart too much and hope they won't get caught out. ?? It's not as easy to get clients from outside of your home territory, e.g. if you're British to get American clients, or even between European countries. People/companies have their own vision(s), prejudices etc. ?? With US <-> Europe, for example, time zones can get in the way, too. While OK for a few weeks this can be challenging long-term.
