Had the pleasure of meeting 40 tech students from Tel Aviv University yesterday, as part of the ProWoman Organization program. During my talk, titled “Growth Points”, I shared my timeline, including past experiences, breakdowns, opportunities for growth and my philosophy on life. I generously shared about my hardships as a young woman settling in a foreign country (Australia), my first jobs, self esteem, motherhood, entrepreneurship, my path to building a personal brand with real values, morals and essence, and how it led me to today - when I became a journalist in the absence of truthful media which isn’t corrupt. I also shared my story of experiencing discrimination and coercion in my own country in the past two+ years, which made me develop an even thicker skin, helping me overcome the pointless “what people think or say about me” fear. We talked about finding lessons in life and in failures, rather than being sorry for doing things that didn’t work out.
