A magnetic resonance wireless charging module is LS Cable & System’s recently patented and certified technology, which was developed using its own power transmission expertise. Magnetic resonance wireless power transmission technology uses resonant inductive coupling: when two different media resonate at the same frequency, electromagnetic waves move from one medium to another through a nearby magnetic field. This method can be distinguished from the contact transmission method, which uses inductive coupling, by its transmission of power between spaced media. The existing magnetic resonance method presents a problem as its transmission ability rapidly deteriorates when there is a metal obstacle between the separated media. With LS C&S’s technology, however, wireless power transmission is possible even when there is a metal obstacle between the separated media.
