Want a smart way to achieve your professional goals this year? Then make a "SMART GOAL." SMART is an acronym standing for: S=Specific M=Measurable A=Attainable R=Relevant T=Time Bound ?? To make a SMART GOAL, first define a SPECIFIC goal you want to achieve. ?? Then you must determine what evidence you will use to MEASURE your progress towards your goal. ?? Make sure this goal is ATTAINABLE, and that there is a reasonable way to accomplish it. ?? The goal should be RELEVANT and align with your long-term goals. ?? Finally, it should be TIME BOUND . Determine a specific time frame you need to achieve your goal. I find it most challenging to write goals for something that is more qualitive, such as "My goal is to speak more confidently in meetings," so I have attached an example below. ??If you are an Italian professional working in the USA who would like help making goals for your communication skills, send me a DM with "SMART GOALS."
