Case: Donkey Republic x Geldermalsen (NL) Together with The Future Mobility Network we started a nice project focussing on the last mile transport from work to the train station. For the 'Slim en Schoon Rivierenland' project, in collaboration with the Rivierenland region, we created a bicycle hub at the Geldermalsen train station. The Donkeys are free for use by employers from the municipality of West-Betuwe. The region, with 8 municipalities, has the highest car ownership in the Netherlands and has to contend with full highways (A15 and A2). It follows from the mobility scans carried out that more than 70% of employees often use the car to the office, but there is enormous potential for cycling and public transport. By stimulating active mobility among employers, we help to focus on sustainability and rush hour avoidance. We love cases like this! Would you like to know more about this kind of projects and the solutions that we offer, reach out to us.
