Hi: it's been a crazy week, and about to get a little crazier! ?? As some of you know, Mr. Mark Cuban has tweeted about a new Card Program we're working on at Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company, PBC. The rumor is true - we are working a card (but NOT a discount card.) We are currently working with #independent #pharmacists in the US on this program right now. My very first rotation the first time I went to pharmacy school was with an indie - so we are EXCITED to be working with you, and I'm personally ALL IN to help the indies out! To be honest, we're a small but mighty team and this is going to take a little time to test, but we want to get rolling now on creation of this program. I wish you all the best. But this model has been tried and tried again. The issue is that big pharmaceutical companies will never let you go beyond a certain point. They will start to complain that you are selling counterfeit prescription drugs or marketing drugs approved in other counties or will refuse to issue you a pedigree for your brand names. Any competition that lowers their profit point will gain their attention and they will bring not only financial resources but promise FDA enforcement agents employment opportunities to shut you down. I have seen this time and time again. The business model works but with every gain there is a loss somewhere and in this case, it’s going to be taken from the manufactures. The buying power of mom and pop pharmacies are huge and that’s why they have co-ops that are small and fly under the radar. Good luck, but have a good legal team in your back pocket.

How can we help test in Dallas?
There is a need for medications to treat Substance Chemical Disease. I see you have some meds for Mental Health. SUD meds are difficult to find timely for patients and costly. Would be nice to see you break into that market to help those in need.
Cost plus is awesome. I’m very happy to see someone working to fix big pharma. Excited to see what this card entails. Keep up the innovation!
