Today we received an enthusiastic response from the EDT team to an announcement that we will soon transition to a four-day work week. This effectively creates a three-day weekend, every week, for everyone. No. We do not expect longer hours on the four "work days". We simply advocate focused engagement to effectively achieve our collective goals on those important days - an "All-In" mindset. Then, on "rest days" we will commit to supporting each other to completely disconnect from work and related communications. This means, no emails and no work calls, just unconstrained freedom to focus on personal commitments and aspirations, health and wellbeing goals, and quality engagement with family, friends, and community. Of course, our clients will not be impacted at all as the four-day regime will be staggered to ensure complete service coverage and focussed, energetic engagement by those team members who are "on" line at any given time. The significant growth we have experienced at EDT over recent times has placed us in the privileged position to be able to implement this strategy because we have the resources and depth and breadth of capability across our international operations. Of course, there may be times when our lofty aspirations may be difficult to achieve. However, we hope these are rare exceptions and that our continued and conscious efforts to help our valued team members sustain life-work harmony will remain a key part of the DNA that underpins our corporate culture. #fourdayweek #team #health #worklifeharmony #corporateculture #wellbeing #engagement
