OK if nobody’s gonna say it, I will say it. This entire subject is a farce and absolutely ridiculous. as a worker, you trade your time for the companies productivity. If you don’t wanna do that, then start your own company where you too will roll your eyes when Gen Z “demands” for these kinds of ridiculous things from you.

When employers trust their staff it negates the need for categorising leave. Staff should be able to utilise their leave as they see fit, without needing to explain what it's for (within reason).

I think this could be accomplished simply by giving workers freedom to use the time they already have how they see fit. If someone needs time off, their team should let them use it without lengthy explanations or approvals way in advance. It’s amazing what you can accomplish just by treating your employees like the intelligent adults that they are and getting out of their way

State and federal companies are way behind the curve engaging with Gen Z. Instead of being proactive they’re going to be reactive treating the symptoms of turnover By the time they catch up we could find ourselves 1-2 gens ahead. Best they focus on innovating the workplace today instead of waiting for that rainy day that might not come
