How do you drive change that lasts? Making change happen in an organisation can be hard. Ensuring that change sticks can be even harder. So how do you drive change that both makes an immediate impact and sticks around? Most organisations going through change get support from change managers. Sometimes organisations will seek support to communicate the change, and maybe codesign too. And these subject matter experts can come in at different times and offer different advice. At Yellow Hat, we believe successful change is only possible when change management, co-design and strategic communication are interwoven all the way through. That’s why our staff are trained in all three skill sets, so when we’re embedded in an organisation our team can support them from beginning to end. Co-design methodology, in the form or workshops, focus groups and conversations, aligns leaders on the change and gets true commitment and buy in. Strategic communication tells the change story and engages a workforce on the why, what, and how of change. It explains how the change will affect them and how they will be supported. And best practice change management gives everyone the tools to make it happen. This unique approach helps clients design their own solution and gets people excited about making a real change. There’s one more secret ingredient (that’s arguably the most important) that we’ll be getting to in a later post.
