Someone left nasty feedback about a year ago on an event I hosted because they could see my tattoos… They remarked, “it was not ladylike or professional”. Here’s the thing. Both the picture on the left and right are the same executive with the same experience and the same expertise. The only difference is an outfit (and maybe my sunny backyard). ?? I decided a little while ago that I would no longer mute parts of myself or pretend to be something I’m not for my “professional career”. How about we redefine what success looks like? Jennifer Stojkovic I love your post about the tattoos and comments. I got my first tattoo in my mid-fifties. I agree women especially are judged harshly by how we chose to express ourselves. Here are my tattoos. I don’t hide them ever, unless I happen to be wearing long sleeves for warmth.
The solution is efficient, electric, and renewable.
2 年Right on! Agreed on so many levels. I used to hide my tattoos in professional settings too. A lot has changed since then including my take on it.
