The negative connotation around conflict is what takes people away from them. By staying away from conflict, you actually stay away from progress. It’s worth remembering that the car moves ahead only when the tires hit the road.

Well said. It is easier to walk away to avoid the uncomfortable situation. It is much harder to lean it to the conflict and see what you can learn from the situation. The learning may not be evident straight away, be confident that there will be one though!

Conflict is (and really should be) unavoidable. Not only is it an inherent part of human interaction and relationships, but it is also often the opportunity needed to have a breakthrough of some kind.
