???? Connecting the Dots: What challenges does Jamaica Face on the Road to re-opening for Tourism Post COVID-19? ??? This is a question that is not limited to Jamaica. Destinations around the globe are grappling with this. Re-opening requires attention to: ?? enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of all areas ??? modifications to food and beverage services ?? measures to ensure that tourists and staff are COVID-19 free ?? ensuring that flights are operating in both directions Last week I posted about the JamCOVID app by Amber Innovations Limited that Jamaica is using to repatriate citizens that were stranded on cruise ships (employees) and at destinations around the world. Likely this will also be of assistance for tourism. ??? Jamaica's Prime Minister is just announcing that Jamaica will be opening June 15th to tourists. Initially, it will be a travel bubble with other countries with low rates of COVID-19 and strong protocols.

not sure what modifications have been announced here, but if the post 9-11 era is any indication, it will be haphazard, difficult, and generally the wrong way to do it.
