It is the one constant: Change. Often it is thrust upon us without warning, and always most noticeably in amounts and at velocities overwhelming. It makes us cautious, therefore, to seek it out in equal measure. However, insulating ourselves against it entirely is unhealthy. I watched a heated debate between fit individuals and overweight people, trying to find a middle ground [Link to video: https://lnkd.in/gtBV4BvV] The fit people focused on arguments based on sheer logical thinking such as: - "To be healthy is easy, it's just about calories in and out" - "If you aren't healthy, it means your are lazy" While the overweight people use emotional-based arguments such as: - "Past trauma and mental health challenges" - "Not having the right tools to overcome their problems" It was a classic case of two sides not communicating on the same wavelength or what the Chinese people would call: "like a chicken talking to a duck". And guess what? It's exactly the same with money ?? It's like the rich financial guy explaining to someone who has accumulated debts, why it's stupid not to invest using Maths arguments. The rich financial guy would have better chance if he had asked the other what are they looking for when they spend all their paycheck?
