To put the IED threat into perspective, based off of the reports we have received, some disturbing information that the general public, Law Enforcement and other First Responders should comprehend. Since the start of 2020 ( A couple are from 2019 incidents included as there are updates) there has been in excess of 20 reports of IEDs, which include pipe bombs, where they have detonated and/or been discovered. Targets include: Homes (people in the homes), vehicles, individuals, which include the general public and Law Enforcement, playgrounds, public parks, personal property, mailboxes, and others. It happens in small towns as well as big cities and for a variety of motives with a variety of outcomes from significant property damage to injuries. It is way passed time for the general public and Law Enforcement agencies to recognize this as a viable threat.
