Relentlessly helpful? LinkedIn? nerd, trainer & speaker. Creator of Espresso+ community & UpLift Live conference. Not a douche canoe ??

?? Self-tagging on LinkedIn increases your view counts. WHAT? This will be one of the weirdest LinkedIn tips ever if it works. My colleague Karen Tisdell, a LinkedIn trainer in Australia, has done tests to show that tagging yourself at the end of LinkedIn posts could increase your profile views by 28%. This makes zero sense but perhaps it works(?) We must always test these things. To avoid messing with this test, I'm going to tag Karen and link to her post in the comments. I'll keep the hashtags, though (remember not to use more than 3 per post, as per LinkedIn's official advice). #LinkedInLearnerLounge #LinkedInTips #SocialMedia EXPERIMENT RESULTS AFTER 30 DAYS https://lnkd.in/gZXsQn5

Might it also make it easier to find past posts? I know that going through my activity list can be quite daunting if I want to find something specific. Tagging yourself would also add it to the notifications.

Love to know the outcome of your test! Seems slightly self indulgent to tag yourself!

I have just seen Donna Serdula?mention about the three hashtags rule and I have replied to her post (found here: https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/todonna_influencer-insight-linkedintips-activity-6622120993110450176-PFjW), but you have sort of confirmed what I was thinking. As for the tagging yourself at the end of each post ... REALLY?? It's beyond bananas. But here goes nothing (probably). Jamie B.
