What should your sales reps, account reps and customer success reps be doing on LinkedIn? 1. Getting connected to all of your customers and everyone they know. Don't forget to have them connect to everyone at your own company. This gives them greater opportunity for introductions to the right people. 2. Finding prospects, interacting with their posts and finding things they have in common so they can write an engaging connection request and build a relationship rather than just connecting. 3. Following customer and prospect company pages and watching for trigger events in their posts so they can respond but not just on LinkedIn. This gives them reason to pick up the phone. 4. Posting great content that their customers and prospects will enjoy and learn from. Graphics, photos, articles, guides. 5. Sharing the content that you post on your company page. You'll get exponentially more views if your team shares the posts marketing puts on your company page. Why? To build their brand so they will be trusted and respected and to build brand awareness of your company. Why? To make selling easier. If they take the time to build the relationships first, they will have more conversations that lead to sales. #MakeItSimple #MoreSalesNow #LEADSintoDEALS #LinkedInSuccess #AddValue
Alice Heiman?you are spot on! Thanks for this - Sharing to my network :)
So clear and common sensical, yet so often overlooked. Thanks for the 4th of July reminder, Alice.
Your last point is key--take the time to build relationships first. So many people don't. They send pitches in invitations, pitches in responses, and pitches in an InMail. Why do so many people forget that social selling is about being social? It's not about the number of contacts we have, but the number of connections we make. (Loosely paraphrased from Reid Hoffman's book: The Start Up of You.)
Good reminders
That's the list; that simple. Just do it. Thanks, Alice Heiman. If anything, I'd only add, actually as a prerequisite, that their own profile should meet at least minimum standards...
Great reminders, Alice.? I love that nowhere in that list did you talk about creating content.? There's already great content out there - salespeople should focus on curating and sharing it with the people you they ant to influence.? (I call it being a Sales Sherpa).?? Thanks for sharing.
Update your profile so people don’t just know what you’ve been doing but what you can provide. And make it come to life with video.
Nick Peret?this is great
