Yesterday I received the Top 50 Tech Visionaries Award which honors America's top leaders who are contributing to the advancement of #innovation and disruptive technologies, thanks to Intercon which produced the 2019 Internet Conference and Smart Health Conference at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Being honored and singled out as a visionary is a humbling experience as it often takes the spotlight away from all the other entrepreneurs who are inventing the future without much fanfare. So I dedicate this award to them and to all the #impact entrepreneurs who believe in solving national and global challenges through principled entrepreneurship and #inclusive innovation; to the #futurists, venture builders and non-conformists who refuse to be put in a box, who believe in crafting their own style and in forging their own paths; to the entire #MIT community; to my friends from #Senegal and #Africa; to my partners at United Ventures who are addressing #sustainability challenges by building a global impact initiative that combines #AI, #datascience, #venturecapital, #fintech, #healthtech and #esports; to all the White House Presidential Innovation Fellows; and to all my friends and colleagues at the U.S. Dept of Veterans Affairs and its CTO Office.
