3 years ago I finished my last shift at McDonalds. After many hours filled with burgers being thrown back at me, standing on fries for 8 hours at a time and smelling like pickles for the next 3 days, I began a job in something I loved. I can honestly say I haven’t looked back but I will forever respect those that work at establishments like McDonalds. Most of those people graft harder than any I’ve seen and are often people with degrees, completing college courses or working long, horrible shifts to support their families. Working there from 16 - 21 taught me to... Respect people in the retail / food industry Always be polite to people The littlest things can make peoples day Anddddd.... Even when you think it won’t happen.... hard work and graft will eventually pay off.. however long it may take. Finally, I now appreciate every day working in a job I love with great people. It’s always nice when things like this remind you how far you’ve actually come... Happy Thursday ??
How are you
What a great attitude . Particularly when you see how rude sown customers can be when in Mc Donalds . Wishing you all the best Sophie Mullett
Great lessons learned, great attitude Sophie!? A pleasure to see what you have learned and what you are becoming!
I totally agree. I have been working as well for Big M long time ago but not that long time you did. However I can feel with you.
What does the word “graft“ mean here?
Superglued to your terminal on your last day, priceless !!!
I also started working at McDonalds at 16. I have found the hardest working coworkers almost always have some connection in fast foods jobs. ????
That is a great reminder. With every up or down day to day, don’t forget where you’ve been and that will help you appreciate where you are at; especially if it’s a job you enjoy most of the time. No job will be exactly perfect; head up during the bad times, it’s not as tough as what got you there. And above all enjoy the days inbetween.
