Do people have shorter attention spans than goldfish? If you're trying to get started with video yourself, or feel like you're floundering, this one tip has been massive for me so far. There are so many video makers on Linkedin who seem to be powerhouses as soon as they press 'record'. They leave the rest of us wondering how they do it. Well, here's the 'secret'. ?? That's to make the best use of your first 7 seconds. That's how I save myself from freezing up, or rambling as the video begins. Any tips of your own for how to start strong and keep up the energy? Day 9 of my 21 day #video challenge #7lifemarks

Well said! Mark Harman?posts some awesome tips and tricks about video by the way. Personally, before I press the REC button, I rehearse once and try to flex my mouth muscles. You don't need to focus, just talk like you talk to a friend or business mate.?

Good tip Dominic de Souza. I’d also say to have a plan of what you want to say. I always follow a general path of; initial hook, followed by a woven message, and finished with a call to action. A strong start as you say is always important. ??

I've only done a couple of videos (rising to challenges!) and the most difficult thing for me is talking into the lens. I understand the importance of an introduction (which goes for content, copy etc too) I like the idea of thinking that you are talking directly to people (perhaps even a single person) but how do I focus on the camera - you make it seem so natural!
