#UX RESEARCH: When doing user research, UXers often choose a method with which they are familiar - instead of going through the extra step of selecting the technique that is most appropriate for the specific purpose. There are literally hundreds of methods to choose from. The best sites for info about UX methods, in my opinion, are: USABILITY.GOV https://lnkd.in/g5XRtcp USABILITY FIRST https://lnkd.in/gsfk3fG USABILITY BODY OF KNOWLEDGE https://lnkd.in/eEexPJs The best book for info about UX methods, in my opinion, is: - Universal Methods of Design: https://amzn.to/36LEN52 by Bella Martin & Bruce Hannington. A shorter (and newer) option is: - UX Methods: https://amzn.to/2NYFq1w by James Pannafino & Patrick McNeil. The 5 user research methods https://lnkd.in/een2rd4 that we most often recommend at Copenux are: - True Intent Studies, - Hierarchical Task Analysis, - Heuristic Walkthrough, - Keystroke Level Modeling and - Usability Testing.
Superb! ?? nice info! Everything together
This is wonderful. Thank you!
Thank you;)!
Going to add : UX Researchers often have the research methodology or method dictated to them by....... Their senior manager who is playing it safe with what they know.... Someone else in the business, usually a mouth piece, sales person or just selling snake oil selling the UCD process
