Young women entering the workforce often ask me for advice, and a valuable approach I’ve taken in my career is to think of it as a tree, not a straight line. There are a number of branches and paths you can follow, each an opportunity worth embracing, so don’t cut them off too early. Progress isn’t always lateral, so even if there are unfamiliar aspects of a position, conquering them and widening your experience can advance you into leadership. #WomenAtWork #BalanceforBetter

Having completed a small group research paper on Mary Barra, I am impressed. Tenacity is so admirable; and she has it. Plus, she likes dogs :)
My Advice Just get in and do. This will show your worth and tonacate. Dont get involved company. politics. As that becomes the focal point. That how you become a leader.
Women should not have reservations about entering the workforce.? While there still are men that do not support women there are a LOT more of us that do.? I know of few jobs where gender is an issue with regards to the tasks being performed.? So if you're interested, apply, and find an employer that appreciates you for the skills you offer.
Advancements are almost never a straight line, it is the journey that teach us not just the end result !
Stick up for yourselves and don't let yourself be bullied or intimidated by the male workers.
