Please don’t call me sir. Unless you’re my banker & don’t know my first name, am my server at a restaurant that didn’t get a “chit” telling you my name & preferences, or Oliver asking me for more gruel. PLEASE don’t call me boss. Even if I’m your boss - & especially if I’m not. It’s reminiscent of US slavery culture, more recently was a sarcastic & disrespectful title, & now is more commonly heard from homeless people on the curb asking me for change (PS: I give them change, or bills if I’m not “plastic only” that day, BUT I ask them to please not call me that again & tell them why). Please don’t call me an influencer. I’m not. I’m a founder & CEO of a B2B SaaS company that’s finally taking off after years of hard work, have built a decent network of AMAZING people here on LinkedIn & have been fortunate to have actual influencers like Oleg & Brigette show me love here, which is obviously a life changer. But I’m not an influencer. At least not yet. (Unless I’ve influenced you personally. In which case I’m humbled, honored & accept it from YOU). Please DO call me: friend, brother, Cory, mentor, #GGA (global goodwill ambassador) or any descriptor you find befitting. Regardless of what you call me I’m here to help & send you love & light. ????
