This past weekend I flew out to Ohio to speak on the Women of LinkedIn Panel at the Microsoft Store. What did I learn from this opportunity/experience? 1. If you can’t find opportunities, create them, for yourself and those around you. You create your opportunities by asking for them. You are never too young/under-qualified to start. Start now. 2. Invest in others. Forge relationships and foster your community 3. Challenge yourself to take on something new. Raise your hand Thank you so much Robin Eacott, for helping me turn my vision into a reality. It was great to meet connections offline and be on a panel alongside these amazing women; Tessa, Saylee, Akosua, Carley! The #1 message that I want to push out there is: - Do not be afraid to create your own opportunities. Do not be afraid to ask. There is power in a proactive mindset and a passionate heart. - When you are self-aware, you can ask for the opportunities, support and rewards that you need. #BoundlessBlessing #StudentsofLinkedIn #StudentVoices
Blessing, it was such a pleasure finally meeting you, and I was so inspired by you and the other ladies. By the way, I wrote my first LinkedIn article thanks to everyone’s willingness to share their thoughts on corporate culture. So thanks for the inspiration!
Many of the opportunities you have in your life are generated by the energy you create around you. #lessonsinlife
Hi. I am a student at The College of Wooster in Ohio (55 miles from Cleveland). Would you mind me asking where in Ohio this event took place? Also, I would have loved to attend. How did you find out about this event and is there a way for me to get involved in this network? Thank you!
