I live in PIttsburgh and it's been fun to see Argo's cars driving all over town.
Yes, I would like a ride. And towards the statement that some accidents are human failure, I would say most are, and the ones caused by equipment failure could also be blamed on humans (lack of maintenance, poor maintenance, or poor parts manufacturing). Weather interaction may well be the most difficult part: driving on ice or through snow: not easy.

6 年I see the opportunity of? autonomous vehicle technology not only in its ability to reduce road incidents but also it s ability in a wider sense to add to a coordinated traffic management systems within cities. Part of the problem is that there are too many individual journeys being taken where vehicles are having to cross each others paths. Understanding a passengers destination could allow traffic management systems to route traffic on similar journeys along particular routes avoiding the need to intersect and reducing traffic congestion.
