"Why it's Smart to Pursue a Job You're Not 100% Qualified to Hold" https://lnkd.in/g5ktmh9 by Fobes Coaches Council Today, I read one of the best articles in my LinkedIn group -National Career Development Association (NCDA)- that?aims at?encouraging your job search, which you must read, print and put in your job search arsenals for your reference. The summary of the question above is- 1. Focus on Your Value 2. Highlight Your Transferable Skills 3. Demonstrate How You're Working Toward the Missing Skill 4. If You Think You Can Do the Job, Apply 5. Rule Out Impostor Syndrome 6. Contact the Hiring Manager Directly 7. Think About Your Overall Chemistry and Cultural Fit 8. Show How Quickly You Can Learn 9. Apply The 80/20 Rule 10. Demonstrate Your Initiative 11. Take Directionally Correct Steps Toward Your Dream Job 12. Communicate Your Passion
Wow! This is encouraging. Ita John, Ph.D., for sometime I have failed to apply for certain positions/vacancies because I felt I don't have the correct qualifications/skills which the recruiter enumerated.
